POLITICS

Politics, Politics, Politics... controversy, trickery, intelligence, power, money, success, growth... to my mind at that time these 7 words properly defined the term politics. Democracy is so deceptive, the nation votes based off promises that are broken shortly after the swearing in however in the long-run the people just become "slaves" to those in power feeding their needs & wants. 

The news feeds the people "mentally" enslaving them in all the negative and positive activities of the leaders, however it is all deception "engaging one in a blinding show" so much happens as everyone's gaze is diverted. "A game" is what this is the people of the nation are like "pawns" in chess been sacrificed for the safety of the master rule breakers the king and queen who "dodge bullets" by focusing on the "weakness" of their opponents and after all the confusion the battle is won and the people are left feeling like mad men "deranged" for believing one notion over the other.

Though in the end after the leaders' term is over "magicians at fowl play" some people talk such amazing words about their legacy while others are not impressed but still commend all the 'good' deeds like "an audience applauding at trickery."

Mentally enslaved,

Trapped in this portray,

Of stuffed puppets engaging one in a blinding show,

Tossing pawns around,

Playing games,

Dodging bullets

Toying with brains

Focusing on weak spots,

Making me believe I'm deranged,

Creating diversions like magicians at fowl play,

Grabbing the audience's attention,

Who soon applaud at trickery.
