POOL OF LIFE

Pool of life is a narrative between myself and a hypothetical friend named 'Tom'. Tom is a philosophy of my life where I believe that I am capable of going into anyone's life to positively impact them if they allow me to. All humans experience the same lessons, it is only individualism that separates when & how the lesson is experienced. That in mind the word 'seed' is a metaphor for a teaching, it is important to have someone or people who you can confide in whenever the ravages of life are too hard to understand on your own, a quote I like to remember here is "always a pupil and a teacher."
There comes a time in life when pruning takes place sometimes due to personal growth while other times life just slowly cuts the ties you have with certain friends or family. This time can be fearful however the greatest thing you can gift yourself from that experience is the belief that whether or not it ended rough, at one point you were a beacon of 'light' to that person, you 'planted a seed' in their mind that changed them for the better.
When someone leaves your life it is best to reflect on why they had to go but not to force them back in, allow your 'life to flow' like the water in a crystal 'clear ocean' and view people who cross your path like 'sea-weeds' swaying with you, some will be 'ripped' away as new ones will be planted. Always remember what Tom said "to plant my seed wherever I should be and how beautiful that land shall be with the memory of me."

 POOL OF LIFE

Tom my gregarious friend with disposition some could call bent
To me however graciously sent,
Around him I don't feel infected
Because my conscience is as clear as oceanic waters,
Like sea weeds we sway in this pool of life
He reminds me of a divine light.

Today that sway ripped my roots apart
And I'm afraid it'll tear us apart,
But Tom smiles as I hang by a string
He says one thing,
To go with the flow of life and plant my seed wherever I should be
&
How beautiful that land shall be with the memory of me,
He taught me to build a home wherever I should be
Just like he built a home inside of me.

I break away,
Good-bye I say,
My gregarious friend, such disposition why do they call it bent?
