WOULD YOU?

Love is such a strong word

used by millions, of significance to thousands,

however what if you told me 'I love you' and I simply replied 'thank you or that's nice'

Would you still love me?

because I thought love was a result of honesty, feeling, trust, choice, respect

Would you still love me?

I was honest with you, I told you my hearts true answer

Would you still love me?

because if you did then you would

feel the need to say it at every opportune moment,

understand that I find it wonderful that you love me,

embrace the fact that I acknowledge your statement

and understand that I am not ready to utter those words,

but chose to love me even when I don't say 'I love you' back,

Because love is such a strong word,

used by millions, significant to thousands,

I want to mean those 8 letters,

and give you back the love you reminded me of every opportunity you got.
